Answers

Question 1: I would like to place an order. What data do I have to send?
We prefer Gerber files and ODB++ data. But we can also use files of your application software (e.g. Eagle). Therefore we only need the corresponding files. If you will send us Gerber files, there is usually one file per layer and we also need a drilling program in either Excellon or Sieb-und-Meyer format. A tool table (details on drilling diameters with the relevant tool numbers) and a front plate table (with the exception of RS 274 X format) is also required. If any of this information is missing from your dataset, we will not be able to produce the PCB!

Question 2: I have already attached the data to my inquiry. Do I have to send it all again in case of ordering?
Yes, please. We ask you to send us the entire dataset with documentation along with your order. This garantees the production of the correct PCB version. If we get the order without reference to new data, we will automaticly produce based on the data of the inquiry.

Question 3: Our PCB is smaller than 1 dm². Can I still benefit from the One-Shot® offer?
Yes! However, the minimum price is based on 1 dm².

Question 4: I would like to order an array as One-Shot® service. Is that possible?
Yes. In this case the data must be supplied as an array and you should provide a gap of 2 mm between the individual boards. We can then mill each contour, as notching is not possible in One-Shot®. Attention: One milled external contour is included in the price. If we separate or tab-mill the array, there will be an additional charge for this.

Question 5: I am impressed by the quality and price of your One-Shot® service. Now I want to order production volumes. Is that possible?
The production volumes would be produced as a normal service. Our One-Shot® service is only suitable for prototypes. The One-Shot® is not economical for more than 5 pieces (depending on the size). In addition, documentation will be created on your order and the complete data will be archived. This is part of the normal service (Quick-Shot®, classic or economy) and guarantees that you can re-order this item as often as you want!

Question 6: Do I have to give the number of drill holes for a quote or order?
As our calculations are not based on the number of the drills, so it is not necessary. There are extra costs for drill diameters starting at sizes smaller than 0.4 mm. Our quotation is based on lead time, quantity and size of PCB. However there are additional charges for particular operations, such as laser drilling, smallest conductor with, blind vias and similar specifications.

Question 7: I ordered a board some years ago, which I would like to reorder now. Do I have to resend the data/films?
No, we maintain a data archive in our system. This holds all customer data from 1990 and it is available at any time. All that is required for identification is our ID number or your PCB description.

Question 8: Quick-Shot®, Classic or Economy – is there anything cheaper within your normal service?
Yes, we can deliver within 15 working days at a favorable price, also for blanket orders. 20 working days or more are also possible by arrangement.

Question 9: Why do I have to send data for an urgent order not later than 8:30 a.m.?
Speed is our strength – we can then get started immediately and plan the daily schedule of our production. If your documentation arrives later, we will count the number of working days from the next day.

Question 10: You confirmed the delivery date. Will I get the package on the same day?
No, we always confirm our delivery date ex works. What this actually means that we snip your order on the evening of this day. Depending on the transport, your package will arrive on the next day or next day but one. Express deliveries must be requested specifically, as these costs will be charged additionally.

Question 11: Can you provide me with a price list?
Unfortunately not, as we cannot include all of the individual features of a PCB in a price list. But we will process your inquiry very quickly.

Question 12: Why did I receive 4 PCBs instead of the 3, I ordered?
Your PCBs are produced as an array and the contours are milled at the end. To prevent wastage during production, the ordered number of items maybe exceeded. Within the scope of our terms and conditions, we supply within a tolerance of 10% or the quantity. If you do not want this, you must mention this explicitly on your order form.
