Quality of the data
For the highest quality of PCB’s a clear understanding of the customers requirments are needed by the manufacturer. A lack of clarity on production details will lead to delays in delivery or even goods being returned. The resulting delays are not good for the customer or the manufacturer in today's production processes.
For this reason, a clear specification of production parameters is indispensable for production.
The information below should help in creating this specification.
A PCB can only be as accurate as the template allows. For this reason, the greatest possible care must be taken when creating templates.
Documentation to be provided
A complete order consists of the following documentation:
• Order text with the name of the PCB, the quantity and delivery date
• Description of the PCB
• Layout data CAD
• Drilling data CAD
Description of the PCB
A crucial point for production! The following information should be provided on an accompanying sheet (ideally supplied with the initial inquiry):
Panels: can be created by CAD/CAM, what is important is the details of the maximum multiple size and the contour processing within the multiple (step routing, scoring or punching), as well as the tab width of the insertion framework.
In case of multilayers, the layer structure must be clear and identifiable from the datasets. Additional marking or identification in the layout is advantageous.
If defined impedances are to be maintained in the case of multilayers, the layer spacing should be stated. A note stating "impedance-controlled multilayer" is helpful in determining
production parameters. Of course, all parameters should be stated regarding the design, surface and delivery deadline.
These can be easily completed on our order/quotation pad or on the online inquiries/orders form.
Please remember: Quoted prices are only valid for the order if all the necessary details with definitive data (or comparable technology) have been available for the quotation and if these details match the order!
Design information
We recommend a layout that has approximately the same circuit thickness across the entire pattern layout. This applies equally to all sides of the pattern layout and helps to provide an even galvanic deposition and to minimize twist and warp.
